5 of the best web colour calculators
written by Craig, 25 April 2007
There are many useful colour selection tools around the web. Whilst you may not go with the exact palettes they suggest, they are very useful for finding good colour matches and themes.
The best I’ve found recently is ColorJack Sphere. It’s well implemented and you can waste hours playing with it!
ColorBlender is my other tool of choice. It’s simple to use and produces better colour schemes than most other tools.
The Wellstyled color schemer was one of the first colour tools I found, and I still return every so often.
If you are still stuck for a colour after using those, try the snappily titled HTML Color Code Combination Chooser, or the ILU color calculator (requires Flash).
Drop me a line if you’ve found any better ones.
